For the next step in my NFT journey, I’m partnering with digital artist Blake Kathryn on four new, unique pieces of digital art. The pieces will be dropping very soon! We are putting the finishing touches on the collection and I promise that they will be epic. For those of you who don’t know her, Blake is a visual artist with a surreal futuristic aesthetic that I am obsessed with. You can check her out on IG (@blakekathryn) or at blakekathryn.com.
I’ve been spending a lot of time learning about the NFT space because I think it is an amazing way to empower artists who are too often overlooked, especially women like Blake. So when I decided I was ready for the next step, Blake was a natural choice. We got together to talk about what they should look and feel like and I am so excited to share where she’s taken that vision.
With the pandemic limiting my ability to travel and DJ, I started to return to art as a creative form of self-expression. Creativity is at the heart of everything I do, and painting and mixed media art really helped me during the pandemic. said Paris. When I sold “I Dream of Paris” for charity last August, I was reminded how much I love making art that makes people happy. Being able to do that and at the same time help an amazing woman artist like Blake makes it extra special
NFTs like the ones Blake and I are partnering on are going to change the way the creative economy works. Not only will more voices get heard, empowering more artists, but they will have greater control over their work than they ever have in the past, and that is truly exciting. There are implications way beyond art; in fashion and music, any creative field, basically. This is my next step in the NFT space, but it won’t be my last. I can’t wait to continue to explore how NFTs can impact the worlds of art, fashion and music, and I am super excited to continue to partner with amazing, creative, inspiring people like Blake.
The entire NFT community, on Clubhouse, on Twitter and on various zoom calls and podcasts have been incredibly supportive to me as I try to learn everything I can about NFTs. I always want to be a student of the game and support the entire community with my creativity and art. This step with Blake is just the beginning and I’ll have much more to say about what I’m up to in the coming weeks and months. In the meantime, Blake and I can’t wait to unveil the pieces. I know you’re going to love them.
